US Airways FA's Preparing To Strike

UAL, ATA and Hawaiian may also be targetted by the AFA

The Association of Flight Attendants has mailed out over 5,000 ballots asking the membership to decide if it will authorize a strike against US Airways. Reuters is reporting that the union is taking the vote in preparation for a threatened strike if the airline succeeds in getting the federal bankruptcy court to void is labor contract with the airline.

In addition to the action against US Airways, the AFA was reported to be preparing ballots to take similar actions against United Airlines, ATA and Hawaiian airlines, according to union sources.

ANN was unable to reach officials at US Airways to comment on this story due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
