Getting A Visual On Katrina's Florida Destruction

Sadly, Northern Gulf Coast Damage Will Be Far Worse...

The web and TV is full of horrific images at the moment, though the true import of the most recent hurricane is yet to be determined.

For Florida aviators, though, the full import of the damage is becoming known... and reported to their respective insurers. ANN Reader Larry Ploucha chronicled some of the South Florida destruction and was kind enough to share the evidence with us (Thanks also to Jim Potter for letting us know about the pix).

Taken at Kendall-Tamiami, these photos are but a small sample of what Katrina left at Florida airports. We can only guess what other damage lies down South... or worse, to our Northwest.

If anyone in the ANN community has been adversely affected by this tragedy and needs help that we, or our readership, might be able to render, send us a note with your requirements and we'll share the data with the ANN community in the hopes that we can match up those in need with those who can offer aid.

Dear God, what a mess. We shudder to think of what we'll seeing from the Gulf Coast in the next few days. Good luck to all those affected...
