Beijing Airport City Development Embraces New Era Of Air Cargo Transport

Free Trade Zone Set To Open At Beijing Airport

In a joint statement Monday, Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone, Beijing Customs, Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Beijing Port Office announced the Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Port Operational Center developed and run by Airport City Development (ACL) is prepared for daily operation. Beijing Capital International Airport Cargo Inspection and Examination Department and Beijing Capital International Airport Customs and Beijing Capital International Airport Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will relocate offices to new locations.

Beijing Capital International Airport Cargo Inspection and Examination Authority, Air China and BGS first-class supervised warehouse will relocate offices to the Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Port Operational Center; Beijing Capital International Airport Customs and Beijing Capital International Airport Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will relocate offices to the ACLP International Building. Both locations will be officially operational on Dec. 20, when Beijing Capital International Airport Customs and Beijing Capital International Airport Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will start processing all import/export customs declarations, and inspection and quarantine facilities will begin operation at their respective new locations. The transfer of all procedures concerning the import/export of goods will be completed within a month. The existing cargo inspection and quarantine area in western Beijing Capital International Airport will cease operations as of Jan. 20, 2011.

Any enterprise operating at the Port Operational Center is required to complete filing and registration procedures and relevant applications for vehicle entrance permits at the reception office of Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Management Committee. Beijing Capital International Airport Customs and Beijing Capital International Airport Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau will start accepting applications for registration as well as for record filing and changes as of the date of this announcement.

ACL is responsible for planning, construction and operations management of the Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Port Operational Center and Airport City Logistics Park Project (ACLP). The company's efforts over the past six years have paid off as government organizations as well as private enterprises across all sectors become tenants of Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Port Operational Center, where they can enjoy the world-class service, dedication and professionalism of ACL's staff. ACL, and its tenants, can look forward to embracing a new era of air cargo transport and to being one of the contributors in making Beijing Capital International Airport the international cargo hub in northeastern Asia.
