Orlando Flight School Announces Fleet Upgrade

D&J Aviation to Receive Eight Piper Archer TX Trainers

Piper Aircraft has announced the addition of D&J Aviation to its Flight School Alliance. D&J Aviation, a flight training and service provider in the Greater Orlando area, will receive its first two Piper Archer TX aircraft in July 2025, and six more over the next couple of years.

“Piper has been a staple of our journey, and expanding this relationship fills us with so much excitement,” read a statement from D&J Aviation. “Thank you for supporting us as we continue to push the limits and boundaries of flight training and your flight training experience.”

Each new Archer TX will be equipped with G1000 NXi avionics and GFC 700 autopilot systems. The G1000 NXi electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) is the 2017 successor to the vastly popular G1000, which was introduced in 2004. While the two look the same, the NXi version has additional computing capacity and an improved display.

D&J Aviation operates primarily out of Orlando-Apopka Airport (X04) and recently opened a second location at Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). The school’s current fleet includes Piper Seminoles, Archer IIIs, Warrior IIIs, Warrior IIs, and Cherokees, all outfitted with either a GNS430 or G500 avionics system.

D&J Aviation offers a range of flight training programs, including individual ratings and an Airline Career Pilot Program. This program is a zero-to-hero course with options to enter with solo experience or a private pilot license.

The school maintains partnerships with major airlines such as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines. It also collaborates with Silver Airways through the Sterling Program, which provides a Contingent Job Offer (CJO) upon acceptance.

The Piper Archer TX is a step up from the classic Piper Archer training aircraft featuring Garmin G1000 NXi avionics and GFC 700 autopilot. As part of Piper’s Trainer class, it joins models such as the Archer DX, Pilot 100i, and Seminole.
