Able To Begin Flight Ops Across EU

Bell Textron announced that the SUBARA Bell 412EPX helicopter has received certification by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and can begin flight operations throughout the European Union (EU).

Bell received multiple orders for the SUBARA Bell 412EXP platform in Europe, including two aircraft to the Republic of Croatia’s Ministry of Interior and one to Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior.

The aircraft can be deployed for civil protection, firefighting, medical transport, and natural disaster and emergency response. Globally, Bell also announced purchase agreements for the aircraft with San Diego Fire-Rescue, Japan’s Nara and Miyzaki Prefectures as well as the Japan Coast Guard.

Danny Maldonado, Chief Commercial Officer of Bell said, “We’re pleased the SUBARU Bell 412EPX has received EASA certification and look forward to seeing its growing success in the European region. This is a testament to the program’s dedication to bring the most advanced Bell 412 model and its unparalleled capabilities to different markets and serve new customers and their missions.”

With its eleven variants over the course of forty years, the Bell 412 platform has a long history of supporting critical missions including firefighting, search and rescue, and law enforcement.

It has a maximum internal weight of 12,200 pounds and has the ability to carry 5,000 pounds on its cargo hook, which combined make the Bell 412EPX a leader in its class for transporting public safety supplies.
