Aftermarket Connectivity For Legacy 450, Praetor 500 Available Now
Embraer announced it received FAA STC approval for Starlink connectivity in the Legacy 450 and Praetor 500, with approval for Legacy 500 and Praetor 600 expected during Q3 2025. Certification by ANAC, the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency, is expected in Q4 2025 followed by EASA certification in Q1 2026.
Starlink is offered as an aftermarket connectivity solution through a partnership with Nextant Aerospace, the engineering unit of Flexjet. Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency internet through its own constellation of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites for connectivity anywhere around the world. Its latency is below 99 milliseconds for greater in-flight reliability.
Starlink supports apps such as video calls (4K), online gaming, VPN access, and other real-time activities. Its service is robust and supports passengers throughout their entire flight.

The Praetor is one of the most technologically advanced business jet in its category and the addition of Starlink ensures that passengers will have a seamless connectivity experience.”
The two companies are also progressing on the Starlink STC for the Phenom 300 series aircraft, which is expected in Q4 2025. Flexjet operates the largest fleet of Praetors globally and plans to integrate Starlink fleetwide.
