FlightSafety-Orlando Earns FAA Certification For Citation Bravo Full-Flight Sim

FlightSafety International's new Orlando learning center has received the FAA's Level "D" certification for its Cessna Citation Bravo full-flight simulator. The simulator is already in customer service.

The Orlando Center is now officially open, with the first pilot training taking place this week. The center's 02 full-flight simulator will enter service next week and a Citation Encore simulator will follow next month. A Citation Excel simulator will be introduced in the Spring.

The Orlando Center received its FAA part 142 training authority at the beginning of this month. All the new center's training equipment will be FAA Level "D" certificated.

The new full-motion simulator was designed and built by FlightSafety Simulation. The organization's manufacturing facilities are in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Its VITAL V-9 visual system was designed and built by the FlightSafety Visual Systems Division in St. Louis, Missouri.
Other Citation simulators are located at the FlightSafety Learning Centers in Wichita, Kansas; Toledo, Ohio; Long Beach, California; Paris, France; San Antonio, Texas; Vero Beach, Florida; and Columbus, Ohio.
