ACE Appoints New Executive Director: Daryl Price

Sun n’ Fun Runners’ Appoint Lead on SkyLab Innovation Center

The Aerospace Center for Excellence (ACE) is a large, 14-building aerospace STEM facility located on the Sun n’ Fun Expo Campus.

A renowned force for education, quality, and enthusiasm in aviation, the area is home to some of the most beloved events in the industry. Dedicated to enhancing the quality aviators and igniting a passion for aerospace, ACE’s newest executive director will step into his role with enthusiasm.

John “Lites” Leenhouts, President and CEO, said, “Daryl comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge, that partners exquisitely with a very engaging personality, all of which will be instrumental in leading our team as we bring the SkyLab Innovation Center to life.”

Arriving from Appleton, Wisconsin, Daryl will bring a solid track record of entertaining presentation and educational delivery, as well as global business expertise. He got his start as a commercial pilot and CFI after majoring in applied mathematics and physics at University of Wisconsin-Stout. His pursuit of business opportunities led to the executive leadership of a technology and consulting company with roots in technical training, leading-edge technologies, and leadership services and solutions. This innovative venture created a nexus of hobbies, interests, and relationships that morphed into a motivational, educational presenter and keynote speaker.

Price is a nationally recognized technical instructor and curriculum developer for 9 technical subject areas, having taught over 15,000 engineers and students. He has created international technical training and certification exam resources, and will use that experience to build innovative programs in the SkyLab Innovation Center and it’s adjunct resources, the Florida Air Museum, and flight training for CFAA students at the ACE Campus.
