Acrohelipro Awarded CBP Repair/Overhaul Contract

Will Service Helos Equipped With RR 250 Engines

Acrohelipro Global Services Inc. (AHGS) announced Monday it has been awarded a contract for repair and overhaul of approximately 50 Rolls-Royce 250 (RR) series engines by the US Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), El Paso, TX.

CBP Air currently operates approximately 50 helicopters that require some model of RR 250 series engine. The contract announced Monday is to provide repair and/or overhaul of these RR engines, which are currently beyond the scope of their internal maintenance capabilities.

This contract is for one base year with four, one-year renewal options. The total contract is worth over $11 million, Acrohelipro sources tell ANN.

"We are extremely pleased to have been selected by this esteemed customer and look forward to supporting them with excellent customer service", said Charles McIvor, AHGS Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Customer Support.

Acrohelipro Global Services Inc. provides support -- including maintenance, logistics and engineering services -- for a wide variety of helicopter types. The company is a subsidiary of Vector Aerospace, an independent provider of aviation repair and overhaul services.
