Two Receive Master Instructor Designation In October

National Accreditation Recognized By The FAA

Two instructors have received or renewed their Master Instructor designation in the month of October.

Master Instructors LLC said in a news release that both were accredited as Masters by Master Instructors LLC, the international Master Instructor accrediting authority. They obtained their designation through the Master Instructor "Fluid Review" program online.

Professional aviation educators who earned or renewed their "Master" title during October 2017 are:

Nicholas Guy "Nick - Outback" Treglia, Enterprise, AL. Master CFI-Aerobatic
Nicholas "Nick - Outback" Treglia, a 1st-time Master and SAFE member, earned his Master CFI-Aerobatic accreditation October 29. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the Navy, Nick is a retired Naval Aviator who teaches for Aviation Performance Solutions LLC at Dothan Regional Airport (DHN) in Dothan, Alabama.  He specializes in upset prevention, recovery, stall / spin, and aerobatic training. Nicholas "Outback" Treglia Lara Zook Gaerte

Lara Zook Gaerte, Master CFI, Fort Wayne, IN
Lara Gaerte, a 6-time Master and SAFE member, renewed her Master CFI accreditation October 24. Lara is the president as well as airplane division director of the Air Race Classic and is a FAASTeam representative in the FAA's Grand Rapids FSDO area.  Additionally, she serves as CEO, manager, and chief pilot of Century Aviation, a full-service FBO at Indiana's DeKalb County Airport (GWB).  Lara's e-mail address: LaraGaerte@gmail.com

Many of the most recent National Flight Instructors of the Year or National FAASTeam Representatives of the Year were Master CFIs. In addition, the FAA has approved the accreditation as an alternate means for CFIs to renew their flight instructor certificates.
