SundAir Orders CFM56-5B Engines

Will Power Two A320ceo Aircraft For The German-Based Leisure Airline

German-based leisure airline Sundair has purchased four CFM56-5B engines to power two new Airbus A320ceo aircraft in order valued at $45 million at list prices.

Sundair began commercial operations in 2017 and currently operates a total of four A320ceo aircraft, including the two recently introduced CFM56-5B-powered aircraft. The company plans to expand its operations throughout Europe, while providing best-in-class service in the leisure market.

"We are very pleased to operate our new A320ceos with brand-new CFM engines," said Marcos Rossello, founder and CEO of Sundair.  "We are more than convinced that this investment and cooperation provides the highest efficiency and reliability available in the industry. Our aim to operate this fleet in a manner that takes the best advantage of all the benefits CFM56 engines offer, including high reliability and low overall operating costs."

"We are certainly pleased to welcome Sundair to the CFM family and we look forward to helping them grow," said Gaël Méheust, president and CEO of CFM International. "We are willing to develop a strong relationship with Sundair in the years to come by providing the level of quality and support our customers have come to expect from CFM."
