Sportys Intro's Power-Drill Powered VThrust Aero-Tug

Move Aircraft with the Help of a Power Drill

The VThrust Aero Tugger makes it quick and easy to move nearly all light airplanes and uses an off-the-shelf 18-24 volt drill as its power source. The Tugger can move airplanes up to 3,000 pounds (empty) including those with wheel pants - even up 3 percent grades.

Constructed of stainless steel, the VThrust Aero Tugger is corrosion free. A toe-controlled nose gear engagement requires no bending or stooping. Two drive wheels add stability and better traction on wet surfaces and make for easy maneuvering in tight spaces.

Super-quiet Tug has no noisy gas engine to maintain and no belts or chains to snag or break.

Precise trigger-controlled speed is infinitely variable within each of two forward or reverse speeds. The cordless drill detaches easily so you can still use it for its originally intended purpose. When the Tugger is not in use, its dolly wheels allow for easy movement around the hangar.

The VThrust Aero Tugger requires no assembly and weighs 62 pounds. Made in the USA, a VThrust Aero Tugger that is steerable [10386A] is available for $1495 and a VThrust Aero Tugger that is unsteerable [10656A] is available for $1195.

Adapters are available for Beechcraft aircraft ($29.95), Piper aircraft for fixed gear with wheel pants ($29.95) and a set of two for Diamond DA-40 aircraft ($59.95). All other aircraft work without an adapter.

The required cordless drill is available through Sporty's or at any local hardware store.
