Austro Engine Exceeds 5M Flight Hours In Diamond Fleet

Global Life In Network Hits Major Milestone

Austro Engine announced the global fleet of Diamond Aircraft powered by its engines has eclipsed a cumulative total of more than 5 million Life In Network flight hours. This landmark reinforces the efficiency, reliability, and performance of the company’s powerplants.

Austro Engine started tracking fleet hours in 2009, and today more than 5,500 of its units are in service, operating in 82 countries. Flight schools, private owners, and special mission operators around the world fly Diamond’s popular aircraft including the DA40 NG single-engine and DA42-VI and DA62 twin-engine models, all powered by Austro Engines.

Life In Network flight hours represent the cumulative operational time of engines across the entire fleet. These are tracked through Austro Engine’s integrated monitoring systems that provides a precise measure of aggregate data from thousands of aircraft operating in diverse conditions and environments worldwide.

Jürgen Schwarz, General Manager of Austro Engine said, “Reaching 5 million flight hours is a testament to the reliability and innovation behind our engines. We are proud to support Diamond Aircraft and operators worldwide with powerplants that deliver exceptional performance and efficiency, day after day.”

Both Diamond Aircraft and Austro Engine are based in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Diamond Aircraft blends cutting-edge technology with a commitment to safety and efficiency. Austro Engine is part of the Diamond Aircraft Group and develops and produces advanced jet-fuel piston engines for general aviation, known for their reliability and efficiency, and are used by operators worldwide for training and commercial applications.
