Cessna Citation Latitude Redefines Market Standard

Claims Title Of 'Best-Selling Business Jet', According To Textron

Textron Aviation says that the Cessna Citation Latitude has quickly become one of the world’s best-selling business jets since entering the market in August 2015, and is the leader in the midsize segment with more deliveries in 2016 than any other aircraft in its category.

Since its introduction, the aircraft rapidly set a new standard, redefining the expectations of a midsize business jet. In 2016, the company delivered 42 Latitudes, making it the most delivered midsize jet in the world for that year. With certification in 35 countries, the global fleet of 58 aircraft has already surpassed 18,000 flight hours.

“The Citation Latitude uniquely fits a niche in the market for customers who want the amenities and comfort of a large-cabin aircraft at a midsize acquisition price and best-in-class operating costs,” said Rob Scholl, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing. “Its success is another great example of how listening to our customers and investing in our products is helping to invigorate this segment, and we look forward to continuing the momentum in 2017.”

The Latitude, with a maximum range of 2,850 nautical miles and a four-passenger range of 2,700 nautical miles at high-speed cruise, is set apart from the competition by its combination of comfort and efficiency. The aircraft offers an unrivaled cabin experience featuring the most open, spacious, bright and refined cabin environment in its category. With a flat floor and six feet of cabin height, innovation abounds with exceptional features designed throughout the aircraft.

Textron Aviation’s wireless cabin management system provides productive connectivity and entertainment to each passenger through their personal electronic devices. Improving cabin comfort for passengers and crew alike, the Latitude features a new cabin cooling system and a new pressurization system which provides a 5,950-foot cabin altitude at the aircraft’s maximum operating altitude of 45,000 feet. With standard seating configurations, the Latitude can comfortably accommodate up to nine passengers. Extended maintenance intervals provide owners with the lowest direct operating costs in the midsize segment.
