FlightSafety Update Their Citation 550 Simulator

Set To Complete Jettech's STC'd Garmin GTN Mod

Jettech, a leader in developing affordable aftermarket aircraft solutions, announced today that FlightSafety International has targeted April to complete the installation of Jettech's Garmin touchscreen GTN 650/750 GPS/NAV/COM  modification update to their Citation 550 full motion simulator.

Located at Flight Safety's Long Beach, CA facility, the simulator is being retrofitted with Jettech's STC'd solution that is engineered for an autopilot coupled LPV WAAS approach and includes a voice-activated intercom and ADS-B in and out.

The modification includes a fully integrated GPS/NAV/COMM and also covers replacing the existing ‘hot mike’ audio panel with the integrated voice activated GMA 35, ADS-B in and out.

"With this installation, it will allow many customers with the GTN 650/750 GPS/NAV/COM  modification to train in what they fly," said Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of Jettech. "And for the FlightSafety 550 customers that train at this facility but do not have the Garmin equipment installation, this is a great opportunity to evaluate the many features our GTN STC can provide."

In addition to the STC Install for 550B/560 series Citations, Jettech provides an STC'd autopilot coupled LPV WAAS for the Citation CJs equipped with the ProLine 21 Integrated Avionics System. For early CJs, Jettech’s STC covers the installation of Garmin GTN’s with coupled autopilot LPV WAAS capability. Also, Jettech owns the STC install for the Garmin G600 and GTN 650/750 touchscreen series GPS for the Citation 500 series that includes WAAS approvals.
