TCB Drones Launches 2-Day Drone Workshop Program

Aimed At Schools, Governments, Agencies, Law Enforcement

TCB Drones Academy, a Dallas, Texas-based provider of drone training programs, announced the launch of a new program of two-day, FAA Part 107 readiness workshops intended for city governments, city and county agencies, high schools, universities, HBCUs, and law enforcement departments.

TCB Drones Academy was founded and is led by Steffanie Rivers, and the workshop initiative is intended to address the lack of minority representation in the number of FAA-certified drone pilots nationwide, and to create opportunities for workforce development in one of the fastest-growing tech sectors.

Ms. Rivers said, “Drone technology is transforming industries, but it continues to lack representation. By working directly with governments, schools, and law enforcement agencies, we can prepare more communities for the opportunities that come with certification.”

The highlights of the workshop include:

  • Two-Day Training: Comprehensive FAA Part 107 certification readiness course
  • Target Hosts: City and county governments, school districts, universities, HBCUs, and law enforcement agencies
  • Application Process: Hosts complete an online application and receive a Host Packet with logistics, timelines, and marketing assets
  • Approval Timeline: Applications are reviewed within 5–7 business days

Through this innovative program, TCB is providing structured training opportunities through institutions to help expand access to careers that can provide good-paying incomes from $50,000 to $100,000+ annually.

TCB equips students, professionals, and underserved communities with FAA drone pilot certification training. In addition to this new workshop, TCB provides workshops covering other topics as well as full FAA Part 107 courses and community impact programs designed to increase minority representation and economic mobility in aviation and aviation-related technologies.

TCB Drones Academy will be hosting a free webinar on Monday, September 29, at 6 pm CST. Check the website for details.
