WAI 2025 Scholarship Applications Now Open

Cycle Introduces Two New Opportunities

Women in Aviation International (WAI) recently opened their 2025 scholarship program. It has 59 total scholarships funded by 41 different supporters. The application deadline is October 11, 2024.

WAI opened their scholarship program in 1995, and has given over $16.4 million as of August 2023. They serve a variety of Aviation career focuses, including flight training, engineering, maintenance, dispatch, and general advancement. This year, two additional scholarships were introduced for aerospace engineering and flight training.

The scholarships are exclusively for WAI members. To apply, WAI requires two letters of recommendation, an essay, a resume, and aviation/medical certificates depending on the specific award. WAI suggests that each candidate applies for three scholarships to increase chances of being accepted.

“WAI proactively works to address our industry’s challenges, and one of those priorities is investing in our current and future global workforce,” stated Stephanie Kenyon, Chief Operating Officer of WAI. “The support of our annual scholarship program is one of the major benefits of being a WAI member, and we appreciate the generosity of our scholarship sponsors.”

Several of the 2025 scholarship recipients will be announced during this year’s Women in Aviation International Conference. This will be the 36th annual event, held in Denver, Colorado in late March 2025.

Details pertaining to each scholarship, general application requirements, and tips for success are published on the WAI website.
