Aviation Media, Inc., producer of the Wonderful World of Flying series of aviation videos, announced Thursday it will make the entire library of Wonderful World of Flying content available via streaming over the Internet on a subscription basis. Subscribers to the new service will be able to access and view all the popular and timeless Wonderful World of Flying programs any time on computer, as well as iPhone, iPad and Android devices, without hassling with DVDs, VHS, or other physical storage media.

“This subscription service mirrors the evolution of the program itself,” said Aviation Media president and Wonderful World of Flying producer Steve Kahn. “We started distributing on VHS, then went to DVDs, and now it’s time to move on to the next technology.”

Featuring spectacular air-to-air footage, each hour-long episode of Wonderful World of Flying features fly-out adventures, practical flying information, left seat check outs in great airplanes and much more- information that will make you a better, safer pilot with each viewing. Enjoy and learn from features on flying a taildragger, takeoff techniques, aftermarket product reviews, and pilot reports on aircraft from warbirds to hot pistons and business jets, all reported by the industry’s leading experts, including Barry Schiff, Rod Machado, Bill Cox and many more. The Wonderful World of Flying library also includes long-form programs such as Richard Taylor on Instrument Flying, Defensive Flying and IFR Flying Tips & Techniques with Rod Machado, How to Buy a Used Airplane featuring Bill Cox, The Warbird Trainers with Jeff Ethel, and 121.5 with Maycay Beeler. Subscribers who sign on at the introductory rate with have the $19.95 price locked in for the duration of their subscriptions. Automatic credit card renewal makes managing the subscription simple. In addition to easing ordering and viewing, the streaming delivery service offers a large savings. Individual videos in the library were previously priced between $24.95 and $29.95 – equal to or more than the subscription cost for access to the entire library.

“We’re very excited about offering the library this way,” said Kahn. “This makes access to the entire collection much easier and economical. For the price of one DVD, subscribers get the entire collection.”

Long popular among pilots, the Wonderful World of Flying collection also has been a hit with flight schools, used by instructors to show student pilots both a variety of piloting techniques demonstrated in the videos, and also the broad range of aviation activities enjoyed throughout the general aviation community.
