Aero-TV: Approach Fast Stack -- Panel Wiring Made Easy

Panel Wiring Often Seems Akin To Black Magic... Until You Look At Approach Fast Stack

EAA AirVenture 2013 allowed ANN CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Jim Campbell, to look into the subject of aircraft panel wiring.

Speaking with James Lentsch at the Approach Fast Stack display booth, Campbell said he has seen some wiring that looked like a ball of spaghetti and asked if Approach Fast Stack offered a solution.

James explained that they offer a “hub-and-harness” solution that allows the builder to do the installation. According to James, all you have to do is provide them with a list of what you plan to install, and they provide the harness and a central distribution hub. The builder just hooks up the power and the ground source. Their system is adaptable to all avionic products, works well with a mix of products, and allows simple changes and modifications to the installation at a later date.

Panel wiring is a nightmare for many builders, and this system can take away the fear of flipping on the power switch for the first time.
