The Revenge of the April 1st Stories... Continues

Here It Is! Our April 1 Edition Is Back In Action For 2024… With An Emphasis on The 'Classics'

I hate to say this but a couple of issues have arisen that have directed what we're doing with this year's April 1st issue... and not in the usual way. We've had way too many recent requests (over a hundred in the last few months) for us to send a link to one of the favorites that has appeared over the last 27 years... and we have more on our plate this year than ever before with SUN n FUN breathing down our necks, massive editing chores on the SportPlane Resource Guide and some work on a new project that we're finally going to start talking about the first day of SnF24.

So, this Monday we're re-publishing a number of our classic/craziest April 1st stories from throughout our history --some spanning a couple of decades, while making fun of a number of topics and people and planes and programs… Each pivotal to the bit of aviation history that was ongoing when the story was published. We will note the year that it was first published with each 'Classic' designation. and once again, we warn you, this was some of our best stuff... do NOT be drinking anything near your keyboard when reading...

We hope you have as much fun with these classic April 1st stories as we did in choosing them -- a session that turned out to be about as funny a recent evening as I can recall, doubled over in laughter, and shaking our heads at our own insanity from years past... and wondering when the folks in white coats were finally going to break down the door and cart us off. So far, we're safe.

Have fun… We sure did.
