Teams With Master CFI To Provide Concise Listings
Best-selling aircraft checklist manufacturer SureCheck Aviation
told ANN this week of the release of avionics checklists
specifically for handheld GPS units. Among the new models released
starting March 2007 are checklists for the current line of Garmin
handhelds, including the GPSMAP 496, GPSMAP 396, GPSMAP 296, and
GPSMAP 196. Additionally, the Garmin GPSMAP 295 and 195 will be
released shortly.
The checklists provide a quick reference for nearly all
operations in an easy-to-use tabbed format and range from 30 to 40
pages, with full color guides to every screen and function. The
checklists are in SureCheck’s multi-page "Full" Version
checklists.
Company representatives state the information is concise, and
covers everything from basic operations to tips & tricks. The
checklists are printed in magazine-quality color with
black-and-white inserts and are laminated with a non-glare finish
that lasts for years.
The books are also bound at the top with a high-quality metal
binding system, that won't crack or break like plastic binding.
SureCheck has teamed up with Bridgette Doremire, a Master
Certificated Flight Instructor holding CFI, CFII, MEI, and Airframe
& Powerplant Mechanic Certificates in addition to a Cessna
Citation Type Rating. She is an FAA Safety Team Volunteer and a
Cirrus Standardized Instructor. Ms. Doremire is the author of more
than twenty GPS and Glass Cockpit Checklists.
The Garmin GPSMAP 396 and 496 checklists sell for $29.95 each.
The GPSMAP 295 and 296 checklists sell for $24.95, with the GPSMAP
195 and 196 checklist selling for $19.95. The checklists are
available at all SureCheck resellers, including pilot shops,
mail-order catalogs, and FBOs.
