Hartzell Readies for a Busy and Productive AirVenture

Propeller Powerhouse Gets Around…

Hartzell Propeller Inc.—the American manufacturer of aircraft propeller systems—plans to heighten its presence at the 2022 EAA AirVenture event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

In addition to displays of its wares, Hartzell will engage showgoers with sponsored aerial performances, pilot proficiency workshops, homebuilder forums, backcountry flyer discounts, and even a press conference. As in past years, Hartzell’s exhibit booth is 296-297—located in the Main Aircraft Display Area near the EAA AirVenture Welcome Center.

To add to the ornamentation of the skies over AirVenture 2022, Hartzell has sponsored performances by superb aerobatic performers such as: Kevin Coleman, Dell Coller, Jim Peitz, Redline Airshows, Bill Stein, Matt Younkin, and Michael Goulian. Mister Goulian will display his aircraft and sign autographs at the Hartzell booth on Tuesday, 26 July at 10:30. Redline Airshows’ Ken Rieder will exhibit his airplane and sign autographs on Thursday, 28 July at 14:00.

In addition to the stunt pilots, Hartzell will proudly present Trevor Parker—a Hartzell engineer and an aviator with a passion for home-built aircraft. Mister Parker will conduct forums during which he will discuss matters builders ought to consider when selecting a propeller for their aircraft. Forum topics will include: engine/propeller compatibility, propeller certification, metal versus composite designs, integration details such as diameter and ground clearance, and flight-test considerations such as pitch angle settings. Mr. Parker’s forums will take place Monday, 25 July, and Thursday, 28 July from 11:30 to 12:45 at Forum Stage 10.

In observance of its ongoing relationship with the Recreational Aviation Foundation (RAF)—a Bozeman, Montana-based, national organization dedicated to preserving, improving, and creating air-strips for recreational access—Hartzell will provide one-thousand-dollar discounts to all RAF members who purchase Hartzell backcountry propellers. Subject propellers are designed to help backcountry pilots make shorter takeoff-rolls and attain better climb-rates.

Hartzell is also proud to maintain its sponsorship of the EAA Pilot Proficiency Center (PPC)—a skill-building and gathering area for individuals seeking to increase their aeronautical knowledge, hone their abilities, and network with other enthusiastic pilots.

Finally, executives from Hartzell Propeller and its subsidiary companies—Hartzell Engine Technologies, AWI-AMI, and their parent holding company, Tailwind Technologies—will address the aviation press for purpose of unveiling the modern identity for the Hartzell family of companies.
