Aerox Aviation O2 Systems Acquires Fluid Power Inc.

Deal Strengthens Aerox’s Supply Chain Position

O2 Aero Acquisitions, the parent company of Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems, has acquired Hudson, Ohio-based Fluid Power, Inc, a manufacturer of military-type oxygen systems and components for the aviation industry. The acquisition broadens Aerox’s line of aviation oxygen systems for military and specialty applications and affords the company’s global customer base expanded access to Aerox’s products and services.

O2 Aero managing director and Aerox president Scott E. Ashton stated: “Our acquisition of Fluid Power will create a balanced military and civil aviation product portfolio and will provide greater manufacturing capacity and engineering expertise. Fluid Power has a 75-year legacy of servicing the aviation industry, providing sophisticated oxygen equipment as far back as the Korean War, and today provides many oxygen components for military applications.”

Fluid Power complements the Aerox Aviation Oxygen product portfolio and allows both companies to provide the aerospace industry with integrated solutions and highly-tailored oxygen components. The acquisition also allows Aerox to expand its customer base and to provide enhanced a more comprehensive line of products.

Fluid Power will continue to operate as an independent company within the O2 Aero Acquisitions portfolio and will be re-branded as Aerox Fluid Power.

O2 Aero’s acquisition of Fluid Power closed on 31 August, thereby marking the former concern’s third expansion following the acquisitions of Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems and Sky-Ox Aviation Oxygen in 2020 and 2022 respectively.

Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems LLC is a Bonita Springs, Florida-based purveyor of fixed and portable aviation oxygen systems, aircraft oxygen masks, oxygen system accessories, and services pertaining to such. Owned and operated by the Ashton family since 1981, the company is certified to ISO9001:2015 and AS9100D, and operates FAA Repair Station YXQR567B.

As a provider of OEM systems serving Diamond, Agusta, Piper, and many others high-profile airframers, Aerox is capable of designing emergency and portable oxygen systems for both air and ground use.

Aerox CEO Scott Ashton is an aerospace engineer and an accomplished pilot and the holder of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. He is an active flight instructor rated in airplanes, gliders and helicopters, and a FAASTeam representative.
