The Great Lakes International Aviation Conference will host the premier Airport Managers and FBO Expo, Jan. 20 - 22, 2005, at The Lansing Center in Lansing, Michigan.

A new Thursday, Friday, Saturday format at the 2005 GLIAC will see an important addition to this fifth annual aviation event-the Airport Managers and FBO Expo. The Expo will be the focus of the day on Thursday and will continue into Friday.

Airport managers and FBO operators will have the opportunity to attend many sessions, including marketing, insurance, hangars, fuel, and snow removal. Highlighting the Thursday lineup is a special session on accommodating air traffic for Super Bowl XL.

"Over the last five years, we have seen the GLIAC grow substantially, and the addition of the Airport Managers and FBO Expo will significantly enhance the conference," said Phil Tartalone, Conference Committee Chair from Michigan Aeronautics. "Over 160 breakout sessions are available for nearly 2,000 participants. There is something for everyone, including an extensive maintenance program and an Inspection Authorization renewal for those who qualify."

An outstanding array of nationally known speakers will address the three-day conference.

Among the headliners are John and Martha King, aviation humorist Rod Machado, airshow great Julie Clark (shown right in her T-34), aviation safety expert Greg Feith, and GLIAC veteran Cathe' Fish. In addition, an exhibit hall filled with industry representatives will round out the three-day event.

"Our large exhibit hall offers space for over 150 vendors and hands-on displays," related Todd Smith the Conference Coordinator.

"Enthusiasm for the 2005 conference has been tremendous, participant registrations are up and exhibitors are contacting me daily."
