This year, Senator Inhofe came to AirVenture having introduced the Promoting the Launch of Aviation’s Next Era (PLANE) Act of 2019. This bipartisan legislation would empower the voices of pilots, invest in airport infrastructure, and ensure more opportunities for a trained aviation workforce. The bill strengthens protections for pilots who may come under investigation by the FAA. In this second of three segments with Senator Inhofe, we learn more about the specifics of the legislation.
