FAA Approves TSO For PS Engineering's PAC37

Digital Audio Panel For Legacy Bizjets

PS Engineering announced that its PAC37 digital audio panel has received Technical Standard Oorder approval from the FAA. It is designed as a plug-and-play upgrade solution for legacy business jets with Baker B1045 audio systems.

Greg Ledbetter with PS Engineering said, “Traditionally when upgrading the primary avionics suite, the factory audio system has been off limits due to the complexity, labor and cost burden. With the PAC37, this is no longer the case because it’s truly a plug-n-play solution for Baker B1045 audio systems.”

Legacy light to medium business jets have been lacking a reliable audio panel solution at a reasonable cost to replace factory-installed or older replacement equipment. In addition to backward compatibility, the PAC37 has integrated modern functionalities often requested by today’s flight crews and operators including these:

  • Independent Bluetooth in each audio panel for cellular telephone and audio streaming
  • IntelliVOX® auto-squelch along with Push-to-Talk and hot mic intercom
  • TXI - Intercom stays active during radio transmission
  • RXI- Com text flashes when audio is active
  • Crew PTT Key indicator with 35 second stuck PTT disconnect
  • Support for up to three stations
  • Artificial Transmit Sidetone
  • Illuminated selection indications for front panel user controls
  • Music selection on/off and volume control
  • Configurable Music muting

PS Engineering will be performing demos at Booth #331 at the Aircraft Electronics Association’s conference this year running from March 18-21 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The company will also host a training class at the convention on Thursday March 18 at 8:30 am.
