First Kodiak 100 Series III Delivered at AERO Friedrichshafen
Daher Aerospace achieved a significant milestone with the delivery of its first Kodiak 100 Series III aircraft to a Polish customer, marking a new expansion in its European market presence. The event was celebrated at the AERO Friedrichshafen trade show in Germany, where the aircraft was officially handed over.
The new owner, Polish businessman Mariusz Saran, was represented by Piotr Lasek of Plane4you, a company that assists clients in acquiring new and pre-owned aircraft. Saran, who began flying three years ago, sought a dependable aircraft to visit customers and partners across Europe.
The Kodiak 100 Series III was chosen for its ability to operate from the diverse airstrips throughout Poland, including numerous grass strips, which are less accessible to more conventional aircraft.
Lasek highlighted that while Saran initially considered a pre-owned Kodiak, the benefits of a new aircraft--including four years of maintenance coverage--tipped the scales in favor of purchasing new. This decision underscores the growing trend among business aviation customers who prioritize the reliability, advanced features, and warranty benefits that come with new aircraft.
The Kodiak 100 Series III is designed for rugged utility while ensuring comfortable passenger experiences. It features significant enhancements over its predecessors, including improved safety measures, a more comfortable cabin, and enhanced operational capabilities that make it suitable for both unimproved strips and water operations with floats. These features make the Kodiak 100 Series III particularly attractive for business owners like Saran, who require versatility and reliability in their aviation needs.
Saran personally participated in the ferry flight of the new Kodiak from Daher's production facility in Sandpoint, Idaho, to the Rheinland Air Service center in Monchengladbach, Germany. This journey not only marked a significant chapter in his flying career but also highlighted the aircraft's robust performance across international routes.
This delivery at Friedrichshafen not only signifies Daher's commitment to expanding its market reach but also showcases the Kodiak 100 Series III's growing appeal in the European business aviation sector.
