A-PRO Adds Avanti Landing Gear Overhauls To Its Service Offerings

Reaches Agreement With Piaggio, Messier Dowty

ANN has learned Aero Precision Repair and Overhaul, Co. -- also known as A-PRO -- will soon begin overhaul and repair services on the Piaggio P-180 Avanti landing gear and related accessories. A-PRO received approval to perform this work from both Piaggio, the manufacturer of the aircraft, and Messier Dowty, the manufacturer of the landing gear.

Representatives with A-PRO say the company has extensive overhaul experience gained from its involvement in the Dassault Falcon, ATR, Dornier, Sikorsky and Embraer programs. A-PRO was selected to perform work on the twin-turboprop Piaggio Avanti after establishing its reputation for supporting corporate and regional sized aircraft.

"The Piaggio program is a good fit for us in many ways," says A-PRO President Alex Tearle. "This high end turboprop is a good stable-mate to our current corporate programs that have yielded extensive experience with landing gears of this size. The proximity of Piaggio's US Corporate Headquarters in West Palm Beach, FL also enhances the day to day working relationship."

A-PRO was established in 1989 as a joint venture between Dassault Falcon Jet and Messier as an OEM authorized repair facility. A-PRO has overhauled more than 2,200 landing gears and processed over 40,000 components since inception in its company-owned 41,000 square foot facility in Florida.
