European Charts Available For Aspen Evolution Flight Display

Aspen, Seattle Avionics Software Source Data From Eurocontrol

Aspen Avionics and Seattle Avionics Software have announced the availability of European ChartData on Evolution Multi-function Displays (MFDs) installed with software version 2.2 or later. Sourced from Eurocontrol, this new ChartData coverage contains information for forty-five European countries.

"We are pleased to offer our European customers this latest system enhancement,” said Brad Hayden, Aspen’s Vice President of Marketing. “The easy-to-use integration provides comprehensive procedural information right at the pilot’s fingertips and also gives owners more value from their glass panel investment.”

The data includes:

  • Aerodromes
  • Instrument Approach Charts
  • Visual Approach Charts
  • Standard Departure Charts
  • Standard Arrival Charts
  • Aerodrome Obstacle Charts
  • Ground Movement Charts
  • Waypoint Lists
  • Control Area Charts
  • ATC Surveillance Minimum Altitude Charts

Existing customers flying N-registered aircraft in Europe fall under Aspen’s FAA AML-STC and most likely meet the minimum software requirement to install European charts. Owners flying EASA registered aircraft are encouraged to contact their installer for more information on the upgrade path. Seattle Avionics is developing country and region specific coverages that will give customers additional affordable options. Aspen’s ChartData software comes standard on all Evolution MFDs and subscription updates are available from Seattle Avionics Software. Annual subscriptions cost €499.

To activate the ChartData subscription, new customers simply set up a free account at the Seattle Avionics Software website.
