Frasca Jet Trainers Receive JAA Qualification

Aero-News learned Monday two Frasca customers recently received European Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) qualification for their flight training devices.

Atlantic Flight Training, Coventry, England, has received FNPT II MCC qualification for their Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) Simulator, which will be used for multi-crew cooperation and jet orientation courses. The school's flight training device (FTD) will simulate the CRJ 200 regional jet and will be certified as an FNPT II MCC. It will feature Collins Pro-line IV Avionics Suite, FMS 4200 flight management system, Electric Control Loading (ECL) and Frasca’s TruVision 220 visual display system.

Atlantic Flight Training also uses a Frasca DA-42 Simulator built for the all new Diamond DA-42 aircraft. The device features Garmin G1000 and Frasca's TruVision 170.

Closer to home in the United States, Oxford Aviation Training (OAT) has received FNPT II MCC qualification for their Frasca 737 device, their third Frasca 737 simulator.

Oxford Airline Training Center (OATC)is a subsidiary of OAT based at the Goodyear Airport in Phoenix, AZ. The school received JAA FNPT II qualification for their two new Frasca TruFlite flight simulators last spring.

The Frasca TruFlite simulators, (defined as Flight Navigation Procedures Trainers, FNPT, in JAR regulations) were approved for 40 hours of training credit. The devices will be used during the first 135 hours of foundation flight training on their Integrated airline pilot training courses. Oxford Aviation Training has delivered high quality pilot training for over forty years and is a longtime customer of Frasca International.

Frasca International -- based in Urbana, IL -- manufactures flight training equipment for airlines, flight schools, universities and military organizations worldwide. Product range includes Flight Training Devices (FTDs), FNPT I, II and IIMCC devices, CPTs, Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and more for all aircraft types, fixed wing and rotary.
