US Forces Detain Four More Shoot-Down Suspects

Thursday's RPG Attack Cost The Lives Of 11

American troops say they've captured four more suspects in last week's shoot-down of a civilian Mi8 helicopter near Baghdad. That brings the number of suspects in custody to ten.

The suspects' capture was the latest example of Iraqi citizens and troops working hand-in-hand with American forces to find suspected insurgents. As ANN reported on Saturday, a tip from an Iraqi citizen led to the capture of the first six rebels.

The Mi8 was shot down Thursday morning just northwest of the Iraqi capital. Six American security workers were killed, along with three Bulgarian flight crew members and two soldiers from Fiji.

It was the first confirmed shoot-down of a civilian helicopter since the effort to oust dictator Saddam Hussein began more than two years ago.
