Ed Bolen smiled broadly when he walked out of the Board Room at
the headquarters stand of the National Business Aviation
Association.
BAE Systems has achieved a major milestone in the Department of
Homeland Security's (DHS) Counter-MANPADS Program with the first
flight of its laser-based infrared countermeasures system on a
commercial airliner.
With their first spacewalk behind them, the residents of the
international space station pressed ahead this week to prepare for
several upcoming milestones.
Participates In This Week's Hearing Before The Senate Commerce
Committee
While it may come as no surprise, the Southwest Airlines Pilots'
Association (SWAPA) tells ANN that they 'wholeheartedly support the
efforts of Southwest Airlines to repeal the Wright Amendment.'
The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has honored
Rep. John Mica (R-7-FL) with the American Spirit Award for his
support of business aviation and his work to help the Association
move its Annual Meeting & Convention from hurricane-stricken
New Orleans, LA, to Orlando.
Aviation Partners Boeing announced today that its Board of
Managers has accepted the resignation of Mike Marino as CEO, citing
Marino's desire to pursue other interests. The Board is initiating
a search for a replacement immediately.
"We didn't want an event that people said was a 'nice show,
considering'. We wanted an event that had people saying, 'Nice
show!'"

for this year's show after the sudden move to Orlando from New
Orleans following Hurricane Katrina -- a move that left NBAA
just nine weeks to relocate their entire convention. Judging by
responses from vendors and attendees alike, it was a "nice
show".
