Bombardier Signs Heavy Maintenance Agreement With ASA, Skywest

Includes "C" Checks And Modifications Work

Bombardier Services Corporation (BSC), a subsidiary of Bombardier Inc., announced Tuesday that SkyWest Airlines of St. George, UT has signed a maintenance contract under which BSC will perform "C" checks, other heavy maintenance and modifications on the airlines’ fleet of CRJ regional jets.

Aero-News has learned Embraer delivered the first E-190 jet to Swiss carrier Flybaboo S.A., on April 30. The Geneva-based airline, which previously flew a dedicated turboprop fleet, will begin operating the Embraer 190 in 2008 under a leasing agreement with M1 Travel Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lebanon's M1 Group.

Holds Ceremonial Signing For CRJ900s 

Bombardier Aerospace participated in a signing ceremony in Baghdad, Iraq on May 4, 2008 to formally recognize two recent orders placed by the Government of Iraq. The firm orders were announced on March 13 and April 14, 2008 for a total of 10 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft. The Government of Iraq also holds options on an additional 10 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft.
