A Boeing 747 once owned and operated by Iranian carrier Mahan Air has been handed over to the US authorities, after the country filed a complaint that the plane's sale to a Venezuelan cargo line violated sanctions. The aircraft was sold off from Mahan Air to Empresa de Transporte Aéreocargo del Sur SA, a subsidiary of CONVIASA, a state-owned company in Venezuela.

The Artemis Program seems to be taking forever and a day to bring out the next generation of EVA-worthy spacesuits for NASA, but finally some good news has hit the wire. Collins Aerospace has successfully passed an important test on its way to becoming the face of the Artemis program after a microgravity mobility assessment. In an oscillating aircraft, a prototype suit was put through the paces in a series of mockup tunnels, hatches, and airlocks, checking the range of motion, size, and bulk of the suit as astronauts crawl, float, and maneuver their way through the ecosystem of spaceborne equipment.

One Sunbather Killed As Caravan Makes Off-Airport Landing

A Cessna Caravan fitted for skydiving drops made an off-airport landing along a beach in Oaxaca, Mexico, killing one sunbather as it came down. The aircraft was carrying 17 when it had an engine failure. The pilots aimed for the least developed land around, deciding to make a landing along Bacocho beach. As the aircraft came in, it reportedly made contact with one beachgoer, a 62-year old local from Puerto Escondido. He was struck in the chest by either the aircraft or by flying debris, dying within minutes.

FAA Accepts Safety and Performance Capability of Reliable’s Navigation, Autopilot Systems

Reliable Robotics has hit another milestone on its way to FAA certification of its autopilot and navigation systems. The company established an agreement with the FAA on what testing and analysis is required to show that the 'highly automated systems satisfy FAA safety and performance requirements for operations' throughout national airspace. Exclusive Rights Allow Taxi Operation for 6 Years

Joby Aviation has signed an agreement with the Road and Transport Authority of Dubai, UAE to launch air taxi services in the region by 2026. The agreement will grant Joby an exclusive service window of 6 years, and comes along with "a variety of support from the Authority, including financial mechanisms for entry and maturing of service operations in Dubai". Joby has a target of 'early 2026' to begin commercial service, but they would like to beat that entry date if possible and hit the ground running as much as a full year earlier.

Hartzell propeller has announced their first approved maintenance facility in India, naming Arrow Aviation Services as their first ‘Recommended Service Facility’ there. Arrow is based in Kolkata, and as the only approved prop shop on the subcontinent to work on Hartzell products, they’ll be the ones to go to for anyone in the region looking for overhaul or maintenance. The approval process guarantees that Arrow Aviation Services meets factory spec, but the firm has already cut its teeth as a ‘Hartzell Propeller recommended Service and Support Center’ for some time.

ADS-B technology developed by uAvionix has come full circle. The company began with a device developed for manned aircraft, scaled that down for the drone market, and now has scaled back up with a new device for manned aircraft with the Echo UAT system. Ryan Reed, director of Communications and Support for uAvionx, told ANN news editor Tom Patton at Sun 'n Fun in April that the early devices were heavy and used a lot of power, which is not ideal for small UAVs. So they made the devices smaller, lighter and more efficient for use on drones.
