Murphy Moose Kit Building Times Significantly Reduced

Despite current trends for aircraft manufacturers to establish assembly factories overseas, Murphy Aircraft Manufacturing has proceeded with establishing its own assembly operation not just within North America, but inside their own factory!

This shift in business philosophy was prompted by an unprecedented demand for the Fast Built Moose Kit and the ever increasing cost of doing business overseas due to political instability. A further benefit from this move is the reduction in kit build times for the average builder.

Advancing the level of manufacturing for numerous parts included in the Moose kit helps in minimizing building times. With the Fast Build assembly staff located along side the manufacturing staff, ideas for improved manufacturing are easily and quickly acted on. As a result, more that 70 parts have been enhanced to date, making the Moose kit easier and faster to build.

"We realized that we could reduce the assembly times by 200-300 hours for both the Fast built and standard kit. This really helps us and is sure to please the customer that wishes to assemble their kit at home" said Darryl Murphy.

Murphy Aircraft currently offers the Fast Built option on two of their popular kits: The Moose and Renegade biplane. In development, is a strategy for the production of turn key airplanes. They will be destined for the Sport Pilot category and are based VII the successful Rebel line aL. ., JuIvGJJcPUI 1'L L I nof kits.
