Teach Sport? EAA And NAFI Want To Hear From You

Organizations Want Help In Developing Online Sport Pilot Flight Instructor Database

Demand for sport pilot flight instruction is building and EAA/NAFI need help in getting potential students together with willing instructors. "The number one question right now on the EAA Sport Pilot Hotline is where can I get instruction?" said Charlie Becker, director of EAA Aviation Services. EAA and the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) are responding by establishing a database of instructors willing to teach sport pilot students.

EAA/NAFI are asking current flight instructors to complete an online information form that will help provide current information for a new web-based sport pilot instructors database. With the high demand for instructors created by the new Sport Pilot/Light-Sport Aircraft rule, this online database will help flight students find an instructor in their area who will provide the necessary training toward a sport pilot certificate.

"It is very important that all flight instructors who are willing to teach a sport pilot complete the online information form," said Timm Bogenhagen, EAA Aviation Services "With the flight instructor database available online, students will have greater access to possible instructors, and flight instructors will have a larger potential student base."
