CAE And Vueling Airlines Inaugurate Second A320 Full-Flight Simulator

Added Simulator In Barcelona Supports The Airline's Growth

CAE and Vueling Airlines have inaugurated a second A320 full-flight simulator in CAE's Barcelona training center for commercial aircraft pilots. The expansion is part of the new training services agreement with Vueling Airlines announced last November. The inauguration was attended by government officials, Vueling Airlines and CAE employees.

"We are pleased to be Vueling's training partner of choice and support the airline in its growth," said Nick Leontidis, CAE's Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. "Since the inauguration of the center in 2012, we have doubled the training capacity, supporting our longstanding partner's growth in the region."

CAE has worked in partnership with Vueling to offer training services and support since the airline's launch in 2004. Through this partnership, over 1,000 pilots and cabin crew have been trained for the Spanish carrier, which is part of the International Airlines Group.

"As we continue to grow, it is important to have access to the highest-level of pilot and cabin crew training. We are proud of our association with CAE which is providing us with a world-class training facility using state-of-the-art equipment near our headquarters," said Fernando Val, Chief Commercial Officer, Vueling Airlines.
