EAA Plans 9th Annual 'Good Ol' Days' Celebration

Pioneer Airport Takes A Trip Back In Time

Some consider it the "Golden Age Of Aviation", and it will be re-created at Pioneer Airport next to EAA's AirVenture Museum in a couple of weeks as EAA stages its 9th annual "Good Ol' Days" celebration in Oshkosh.

The event re-creates an airport of the 1920's and 1930's with costumed interpreters share their experiences flying vintage airplanes. The Oshkosh Northwestern reports that there will be lots of family activities, as well as the opportunity to view some period aircraft up close. Visitors will also be able to buy sightseeing flights in a  1929 TravelAir, a 1927 Swallow biplane or a Bell 47 Helicopter.

The weekend will also feature the opening of a 1930's time capsule that was recently found on the grounds of Pioneer Airport.

All the activities are available for the price of a regular museum admission, $31 for a family of four. The "Good Ol' Days" are August 29th and 30th, just in case you need a little more Oshkosh.
