Sport Stars Registered As SLSA

Czech Please

Sport Aircraft International announced that two newly imported Evektor Sport Stars received SLSA approval on Thursday, some of the first to be registered in the United States.

The aircraft registrations were completed at 4:00 p.m. on April 8th with the San Antonio FAA MIDO office. The two aircraft have their new airworthiness certificates and will be on display at Sun 'n Fun.

The Texas-based company will be conducting demonstration flights each day of the show for those who register. The Sport Star is made by Eventor-Aerotechnik, a certified aircraft manufacturer in the Czech Republic with over 35 years experience designing and producing aircraft.

The Sport Star is built in a licensed factory alongside certified aircraft. It has an aluminum airframe with joints that are riveted and bonded. The company claims that this provides a longer life airframe.

The Sport Star is based on a JAR-VLA certified design with over 400 aircraft flying. A 80hp Rotax engine is standard, with 100hp available as an option.
