Aero-News: Quote of the Day

ANN's Quote of the Day usually derives from current news, though we reserve the right to pick quotes out of history that have a bearing on the day's events and issues.

Sometimes, you'll find them timely and in keeping with the content of the day's news... and sometimes, they'll just be thought-provoking.

Reader suggestions and comments are welcome... and if particularly intriguing, timely, or poignant, may themselves become future Quotes of the Day.

Let us hear from you, folks!

Aero-News Quote of the Day

"To deal with the escalating passenger traffic, airports need to implement swifter and more efficient methods of passenger screening. One solution could be to supply passengers with alternate venues and automated tools to prescreen them before they arrive at the airport."

Source: Frost & Sullivan Aerospace & Defense Senior Industry Analyst John Hernandez commenting on a report in which they state that automation and pre-processing are reducing the physical interaction with travelers during airport passenger screening. They suggest that this is the first step toward a future in which the passenger screening process will become unintrusive.
