More Job Cuts May Be Coming At Boeing Next Year

McNerney Says Figure Not Finalized, But Not As Many As In 2009

Boeing Chairman and CEO Jim McNerney (pictured) said he expects more job cuts to be coming at Boeing in 2010, but how many had yet to be determined. The cuts would be in addition to the 10,000 already planned by the company.

Arabian Business reports that McNerney said Boeing was unlikely to shed another 10,000 jobs, but that some additional job cuts were likely.

“We’ve talked about the 10,000 and then maybe some more,” he told the paper. “Not in the magnitude of another 10,000, but there will be a continuation of the trend lines through to the end of the year.”
