2021 SECAS Summit & Air Show Training Camp Set For March

Will Promote Safety, Professionalism, And Sustainability Within The Air Show Industry

The Southeast Council Air Shows (SECAS) has partnered with JLC AirShow Management and Air Boss Inc. to redefine the regional air show council model. For the first time, an Air Show Training Camp will be offered in conjunction with a regional air show summit.

This joint event will actively promote safety, professionalism, and sustainability within the air show industry. Invited participants include civilian, military, and international members – Civilian Performers, Military Teams, Air Bosses, Announcers, FAA Inspectors-In-Charge (FSDO), Organizers/Producers, and Service Providers.

SECAS Summit emphasis will provide attendees with networking and educational opportunities combined with an operational air show environment. Attendees will experience the sharing of best practices and the identification of financial efficiencies through interactive discussions. This will be especially important given the challenges experienced during 2020.

Air Show Training Camp emphasis will focus on operational flying, professionalism, qualifications, safety programs, networking, and best practices. Attendees, including a focus on rookies, will have the unique opportunity to be directly coached, evaluated, and critiqued by their respective peer group of air show industry ACE veterans.

Complete event Insurance, EMS, Fire, and an LE support package will be maintained throughout all phases of the training camp and flying activities.

Temporary ATC Tower and FAA waiver will be established along with a TFR to coincide with the approved aerobatic box during all scheduled flying activities. Temporary ATC tower operations will commence on Thursday morning, operating daily through Saturday (0900 – 1800). Sunday tower operations will be active from 1100 – 1500 for attendee departures.
