Emirates Airlines will be retiring 26 older airliners of three different types in a move it says will "simplify" its fleet.

The aircraft being retired are Airbus A330-300s; Airbus A340-300 and -500s; as well as several Boeing 777 variants.

World Airline News reports that the airline is retiring three types of aircraft entirely. the last A330-200 flight and the last Boeing 777-200 flight both took place Sunday, Oct. 31.

After the retirements, Emirates will operate two basic aircraft types, the A380 and the Boeing 777, including the -200 LR, -300, -300 ER variants.
