New Online Tool For Quoting And Booking Charters

CharterX Goes Live

Charter Guide has created a separate joint venture entity, known as CharterX Corp. CharterX licenses technology to the most significant air charter operators and brokers for their online quoting and reservations and operates the principle online industry marketplace.

"We have identified new opportunities, technologies, and business models which will significantly increase the business base of the overall air charter market. These new programs require significant financial investment and company focus, which can be more effectively pursued as a separate corporate entity. Air Charter Guide has provided a trusted platform for the development of the CharterX network. Given the strength of membership, the volume network search traffic and overall system stability, the company said it has all the requisite pieces to succeed and promote each and every participant," said Jim Betlyon, President of CharterX.

Fred Gevalt, President of Air Charter Guide added, "We are proud of what we have created over the past four years; its success in the marketplace, the trust of each of our clients, and the people in our company who created the central online industry marketplace. The Air Charter Guide and I will continue to support CharterX. We believe in the technology, the people, and the opportunity for CharterX and its members in the current and future air charter market." The ‘joint’ in venture is extremely strong. Air Charter Guide (ACG) will continue to promote advertisers through the online quoting and trip inquiry XQuote tool on the AirCharterGuide.com website.

Every charter operator listed in The Air Charter Guide can continue to update aircraft availability and pricing through AirCharterGuide.com. CharterX systems will continue to promote ACG publications, while participants can still proof and update their ads and book listings through the popular CharterX Industry Xchange.

CharterX said the close relationships and benefits between ACG publications and its advertisers will continue. All assets, data and technology that have been used by and for the customer base will be transferred to the new venture. All persons who have worked within CharterX are part of the new joint venture.

Fred Gevalt will continue as a board member for CharterX, and Jim Betlyon, the Director of Online Services & Chairman of Air Charter Guide will assume executive responsibilities for CharterX, and continue to serve on the board of Air Charter Guide.
