New Autel Robotics Drones to be Announced at IFA 2022

Berlin Tech Expo Imminent

Founded in 2014, Shenzhen-based Autel Robotics specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of on-board, automotive diagnostic tools and electronics. The company also produces an array of capable drones running a gamut of costs and capabilities bookended by its $6,500, multi-sensor firefighting, search-and-rescue EVO II Dual 640T v2; and its $799, 4K, ultra-light EVO Nano+ camera drone.

Autel has announced the imminent introduction of new products and expanded capabilities which the company plans to reveal to the wide world during the upcoming IFA 2022 technology exposition in Berlin. Among the gizmos slated to premier at the five-day (02-06 September) event are Autel’s new EVO II V3 Series drones, a new Live Deck video streaming accessory, and two new smart controllers by which to pilot the updated, upgraded drones. Autel will hold a new product introduction event on 02 September from 16:00-16:30 in Hall 3.2 at booth #110.

In creating its new EVO II V3 series, Autel extrapolated design cues and parent architecture from its EVO II V2 drones, then added enhancements the likes of higher-resolution image systems with better low-light performance, improved thermal cameras, and new attachable accessories for specific applications. Additional enhancements include better heat dissipation for improved durability, multi-Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positioning capability for more accurate flight operations, and improved long-range image transmission.

In all, the new EVO II models to be introduced at IFA 2022 comprise: EVO II Pro V3, EVO II Pro RTK V3, EVO II Dual 640T RTK V3, EVO II Dual 640T V3, EVO II Pro Enterprise V3, and EVO II Dual 640T Enterprise V3.

That operators may better employ the aforementioned drones, Autel plans to also announce the impending debut of its new EVO II Live Deck 2, a streaming and conversion accessory capable of transmitting full HD video at 60-frames-per-second via HDMI, Ethernet, or USB to standard televisions, computers running either Windows or Mac OS, and/or compatible iOS and Android devices up to 4.35-miles away.

That operators may better pilot the new drones, Autel plans to also, also announce the introduction of its Smart Controller V3 and Smart Controller SE—both of which will all be fully compatible with the entire range of EVO II V3 series drones.
