Aero-News Looks At The Year That's Past, And The Year Ahead

Happy 2008 From The ANN Staff!

It's that time again... when the Aero-News staff takes a look back at all that happened in the Aero-World over the past 365 days, and tries our 'durndest' to look ahead at what lies in store for 2008.

While most of the world took some much-needed time off for the holiday season, Jim already started listing his "Heroes" for 2007... and the "Heartbreakers" of the year will soon follow. In addition, I'm working on complete recaps of the year in Commercial Aviation, Sport Aviation, and Military and Aerospace. I'm also tackling the daunting task of summing up what 2007 had in store for General Aviation... it's no wonder my beard is rapidly turning grey...

In addition to those efforts, regular ANN Contributor Aleta Vinas spoke with several of GA's famed "letter groups" and other aerospace organizations, to see what they had to say about the year-that-was and the year ahead. We'll share those insights with our readership later this week, along with Paul Plack's end-of-year Aero-Cast interviews with many industry notables.

In a couple of new features this year, we'll also tackle some of the "Unanswered Questions" the year left us with... and invite reader input, too, on what you see to be the issues that weren't wrapped up to your satisfaction over the past year. And, we'll also have some fun -- with our list of headlines we WISH we could have run over the past 52 weeks.

As is tradition, Aero-News will also pay our respects to those who have 'Gone West' this year... as always, there were too many...
