Four Newest I Hart Flying Foundation Scholars Take Wing

Scholarships Assist Young Women in Flying Careers

Four young women became the latest group of aspiring aviators to receive a helping hand with their flight training expenses from the I Hart Flying Foundation (IHFF).

This is the third cycle of scholarship awards in IHFF’s ongoing campaign it calls Hart Aviation Nation Delivers, or H.A.N.D. for short. The current campaign cycle began in Spring 2023 and has presented over $75,000 in flight training awards and packages since then and plans are in progress for the fourth themed campaign. Since its founding by Rachelle Spector in 2017, IHFF has awarded more than $250,000 in funding and industry packages.

Speaking about the newest group of recipients, I Hart Flying Foundation founder Rachelle Spector said, “Our diverse selection committee of industry professionals have the most challenging job to choose the best scholars that represent our Hart Nation. It’s my pleasure to congratulate and welcome these talented women to our Hart Nation as we aid their journeys in flight and help them soar. Congratulations Arian Perez, Kayla Wildes, Ginger Kelly and Shalynn Swails.”

The mission of the IHFF is to “Assist women of all ages in achieving their aviation goals by offering and awarding flight training scholarships on an annual basis, coupled with facilitating STEM outreach events directly with industry partners.”
