NavMonster -- a very easy-to-use flight planning utility available on the web for a number of years, has shut down -- AeroNav and the FlightPrep legal assault appear to be culpable.

In a pretty rare move, the NTSB has delegated the investigation of an accident which happened in Virginia over the holiday weekend to Transport Canada … but there’s a good reason. Two airplanes… a Piper PA-28 and a Beechcraft BE-35, collided in flight about five miles from Warrenton-Fauquier Airport in Sumerduck, Virginia, on Monday, resulting in the fatal injury of the two people aboard the Beech. The Piper was registered to an FAA employee, and the Beech was registered to someone working for the NTSB. European pilots and flight schools have another type-certified LSA trainer available for basic flight instruction … one which is familiar to many U.S. aviators. At just after 1100 EDT last Friday morning, Dragon became the first commercial spacecraft to dock with the International Space Station. The crew of the ISS opened the hatch of the Dragon Saturday, and transferred supplies from the spacecraft to the orbital outpost. We have ALL this and SO MUCH MORE in this week's edition of AIRBORNE!

As always, PLEASE keep sending us your feedback and ideas... you have no idea how important that is to us as we evolve the Airborne mission. As we listen to your critiques, we're getting a far better idea as to how to tweak and fine-tune future Airborne programming to fit your needs. We think you're going to like what we have in mind for the future.
