Citation CJ3 Simulator Gets FAA Level 'D' Certification

Third CJ-Series Sim Offered By FlightSafety

FlightSafety's Wichita Center has received Level "D" certification for its new Citation CJ3 full flight simulator. It is the third CJ-series simulator offered by FlightSafety for pilot training.

The new simulator is already in customer service at the Wichita center, with a VITAL-9 high definition visual system and a highly-responsive state-of-the-art, six-degrees of freedom motion base.

A SimVu dynamic debriefing system on the CJ3 simulator adds significantly to the effectiveness of the training session, with its instantaneous recall of selected moments in the training experience. This is the 35th Citation Level "C or D" simulator for FlightSafety. Other simulators for Citation aircraft are located at the company's Learning Centers in Long Beach, California; Toledo, Ohio; San Antonio, Texas; Vero Beach, Florida; Paris/Le Bourget, France; Atlanta, Georgia; Columbus, Ohio; Orlando, Florida; and Daleville, Alabama.

The full flight simulators at all FlightSafety locations are designed and produced by FlightSafety Simulation at its Tulsa, Oklahoma facility. The new panoramic VITAL-9 visual display on the CJ3, which presents high-definition scenes with remarkable clarity, is produced by FlightSafety Visual Simulation Systems Division in St. Louis, Missouri.

FlightSafety operates the world's largest fleet of full-flight simulators at locations in North and South America, Australia and Europe. The company recently celebrated its 53rd anniversary as a pioneer in aviation training.
