Aspiring Aviation Pros Invited 'Focus On The Future' At Atlanta Job Fair

EAA And Fltops.com Hosting Career Conference

Future professional pilots or those considering another career in aviation can join EAA in the "Focus On The Future" session held in conjunction with the FltOps.com Global Pilot Career Conference and Job Fair on Saturday, August 28, in Atlanta. This free session will be held at 1230 during the day-long job fair, which runs 0830 to 1700 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway.

FltOps.com, an online information service for aspiring and professional pilots, hosts "Focus On The Future" sessions throughout the country that are designed for budding professionals, parents, and career counselors. With thousands of airline pilots facing mandatory retirement in the coming years, the future job market for professional pilots - including airline pilots - looks very strong.

High school and college-age students considering a career in aviation can meet with representatives from the top schools in the United States as well as learn about the projected need for new pilots, other careers available in aviation, financing flight training and education, and developing a rational career plan. Barry Elk, EAA director of membership marketing, will be on hand to answer questions about the EAA Young Eagles program as well as EAA's new Student Membership, which is supported by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Embry-Riddle will also be a participant in the "Focus On The Future" session in Atlanta.

"The 'Focus On The Future' session will provide answers to prospective pilots as they set off on the career path leading them toward the sky," Elk said. "There is unlimited career potential within the aviation industry, and through the Young Eagles program and the EAA Flight Plan we are working to continue that initial curiosity into a promising future for the next generation of aviators."
